Vanilla 1.1.4 is a product of Lussumo. More Information: Documentation, Community Support.
I've uploaded Semiologic 5 RC earlier today, you can grab it at:
http://wp-pro.semiologic.com/bleeding
The last couple of issues that were discussed in the beta 3 thread are all fixed.
As with the previous Sem 5 pre-releases, please give the upgrader a shot. I've tested it on over 20 servers, and I'm hoping it should work fine on all platforms now.
To spare yourself a long upload, you can upload the upgrader files only via:
and then try wizard / upgrade directly.
if the upgrader doesn't work -> email denis at mesoconcepts dot com, topic "Sem 5 automated upgrade problem" and I'll look into it tomorrow.

PS: don't forget to disable non-Semiologic Pro plugins before upgrading -- at least two users got blank screens because of this.
it's likely a dns issue if your domain was recently set up. I've seen dns propagate in as much as a week when I was working at a telco firm.

With the upgrader, it preserves my FTP name and password between upgrades but not the host name? by design or indeed it should?
M
Hypothetically Speaking they'ed probably want to talk to their host about increasing PHP Memory to 32M or greater.
Mike
I'll get back to this thread later today -- a few sites are in need of rather urgent attention. thanks to all who have been reporting issues.
D.
You need to have your host increase PHP server memory to at least 32M.
Is it me, or should I be adding a line in there that shuts a site down when the minimum requirements aren't met? :-(
D.
@Eric : still occurring, or not?
@Mike:

this is browser related
@weirdgod: I fixed a couple of issues in the beta 3 upgrader
@Jeff: I'll take a look during the week
@Todd : fixed in the next RC, thanks for reporting the bug
@David : is the theme present? you mean it didn't automatically activate after uploading the files?
@kmator: err... have your host turn allow_url_fopen on or remove the open_basedir limitation?
@Doug: we fixed this by email, right, or was that another Doug?
@David : that would be normal WP-Cache behavior -> flush it under Options / WP-Cache
@Exmachina: in all likelyhood, whoever wrote them isn't using the wysiwyg editor
@Steve : this is related to Now Reading, and it's fixed in the upcoming RC2. in the meanwhile, rename the plugin's folder to something else, browse the Plugins page in the admin area to disable it automatically, and rename it back
@George : the captions screen is gone forever, and replaced with widget options screens. the special chars in the title bars is fixed in RC2
I hope I didn't miss to many threads in there. I'll be uploading an RC2 in a sec...
D.
I'm closing this thread, opening a new one for RC2.
