Hi, I've looked at this video and I think I see different versions of Semiologic, mine (attached) is without some options and document info though it's meant to be the latest version. I know they are different WP versions.

Do I need to change something to fall in line here?

    Thanks

    Paul,

The current webinar video is for SemPro 5.0. The image you are showing is for the 5.5 RC version. With Wordpress 2.5 (used in SemPro 5.5), the admin screens have completely changed and the colors schemes are different. Is there something specific you are looking for?

    Hi Mike,

Primarily the 'more info' option that is shown in the video but is not in my version.

I want to build a silo based website, with full SEO, an opt in list, video and poll. I'd like to do this as quickly as possible so I'm trying to find the closest thing there is to a recipe for doing this with Semiologic.

    Thanks for your help

    Paul,

Semiologic provides all this functionality for you.

With Opt-in list you mean for a newsletter/email mailing list? Just use the Newsletter widget w/ a service like aweber. Video - use the Semiologic Mediacaster plugin for video and audios Poll - use the democracy widget SEO - Out of the box w/ semiologic.

As for the more info, you should have a more quicktag you insert into your post while editing.

    Hi Mike,

Thanks for the earlier assistance. Which widgets would allow the visitor to provide some details about themselves that I need to define, purchase then download an ebook? Purchasing will support Paypal and protx. I have looked but it's not obvious to me; contact form, inline widgets and the features.

    Thanks in advance.

There is no shopping cart functionality built into semiologic Pro.

I have tried wp-shopping cart which appears to work fine with SemPro 5.5. With the low cost gold cart option, you can have PayPal, Google, or Credit card options for payment. The merchant account for credit cards would be a required extra.

I'm surprised there isn't a Semio solution for that or a standard approach. Will look further into your recommendation.
