    I am using Semiologic Pro 5.5 and WordPress 2.5.1.

    Looks like the layout of WordPress and widget really changed in this version. Can somebody explain the "widgets" under "Design". For example the "Entry: Header", Entry: Content", "Entry: Tags", etc... What are these widgets and how do I use / change them?

    Ok this is starting to make sense now. Looks like a lot of the functionality we had to use a custom.php file for before is now built into the "widgets" section. This is very cool.

    That is correct. with 5.0 and 5.5 then thought was embed most of the reasons for creating a custom.php into the widgets themselves.

    With the eventual 6.x releases, custom.css would be tackled.
