I wanted to address the current state of Semiologic Pro.
My plan was to work on getting SLP 5.5 released but Matt and Automattic announced they are moving the release of WordPress 2.6 up to July 7th (14th being the latest). Given that change, it didn't make sense to focos un SLP 5.5 and instead divert my energies to a SLP 5.6 release, which includes WP 2.6, some additional plugins (TinyMCE-Advanced, ImageManager, plus a few others), latest 3rd party plugin releases (PHP Markdown, Askimet). Also, I know there are a bunch of bugs I need to tackle. I have been bookmarking discussions all along and will try and knock those down. We may just need a 5.6 release and then follow up with 5.6.1, etc.
I just want everyone to know that semiologic is still alive and still a viable product. I will do my best in Denis' absence to deliver the best product that everyone has come to rely on.
I hate to keep saying it, but the *free* version of the theme and plugins still needs upating for WP *2.5*. Those of us using the free version who are meeting our end of Denis's bargain -- footer links to Semiologic -- should also be supported.
We all complain when things don't work right... but I wanted to say THANKS for doing your best to help us all... it's not easy sometimes... but we do all appreciate everything you are doing to help us when we need it :)
ditto to BigSmile's comment. I've been disappointed with the level of support lately, but with Denis needing a break, it's understandable. I'm surely looking forward to a better "full featured" editor.
