I have uploaded a plug-in named cforms II (which is on the additional plug-ins site). It is in my WP plug-ins directory but not showing up on the list of plug-ins so that I can activate it. (I had to deactivate all plug-ins before uploading it to get it into the directory, but it's there now. Have cleared cache, have restarted browser. Nada.)

I'd appreciate any advice anyone can offer as to how I can resolve this.

    Thanks.

Just as Semiologic will not run within native WordPress, many third party plugins will not work with Semiologic's tweaked version of WordPress. Additionally, as the number of plugins increase, ther is greater likelihood of plugin conflict.

Getting any third party plugin to work will require finding out what may be conflicting with it. Perhaps a place to start might be the plugin author.

    Hi,
you need to make sure that you've uploaded the folder "cforms" . .when you download the zip it's in the second level (which is unusual for plugins) otherwise it should work fine. I've got it deployed on several sites & really rate it.

    enjoy

cformsII is a very nice forms plugin, works great with semio. I wish that individual forms could have different formating (wide for center column, thiner for sidebars, different colors, for example) but the developer tells me this is way to hard so you have to resort to custom code which I am unwilling to do. Seems simple enough of a concept, but then again that may be why I am not a coder.

Whew. Thanks to everyone who responded.

I was installing it in the wrong plug-ins file (don't ask).

Anyway, I finally got it installed, got cfII in the visual edit area, and created a form. Now I can't install it. When I click on the cfII, what comes up is a blank box, not the form as indicated under help->install forms. There is also some code underneath the example, which it says to use when installing in a sidebar, which I am trying to do. How do you install this code in the sidebar? I don't see anything relating to the sidebars or how to install anything in them except widgets, which this isn't. So help again.

I will get this licked if it kills me and, judging by the amount of time and effort I've put into it so far, it might.

    Thanks, again.
